Know all about the Grease Traps and Septic system
The underground chamber through which the flow of domestic wastewater takes place for basic treatment is known as a septic tank. It is designed in such a manner so that only the discharge of the effluent takes place from the tank into the drain field. If the septic tank cleaning does not take place in a regular manner then antibacterial substances and toxins can build up which leads to the killing of the vital bacteria that break down the waste.
Grease traps for commercial kitchen is generally required by law to acquire excess fats and oil before the draining of them into the water lines of municipal system takes place. This assists in keeping the underground pipes clear of dust and debris.
Grease, fats and oil gain entry to the grease trap through a diverter that prevents water from flooding the trap. After the emptying of the mixture of water and FOGs takes place in the trap, the water then cools down which causes FOGs to solidify and rise to the top.
